NHAND is an organization comprised of New Hampshire state licensed Naturopathic Doctors, or ND’s, collectively providing a wide array of complementary and alternative medical services to the members of our communities. The NHAND website was created to be an extension of our dedication to providing a valuable resource for the New Hampshire community and beyond, offering useful and up to date information about the field of naturopathic medicine and the numerous practitioners working in the state of New Hampshire.
Within the pages of this site, we hope to answer some of the most common questions regarding naturopathic health care, and inspire a further look into the wide array of treatments and services that are available. Our growing database of member practitioners on this website serves as a valuable list of knowledgeable and dedicated naturopathic health care providers all commited to bringing you the best in complementary and alternative health services.

What is Naturopathic Medicine?
Naturopathic Medicine is a branch of medicine that believes that the body has an innate ability to heal itself and focuses on the underlying cause of disease. NDs utilize many different modalities, including herbs, vitamins, minerals, dietary supplements, hydrotherapy, homeopathy, naturopathic physical medicine and nutritional counseling, as well as having a pharmaceutical formulary of their own. NDs may also specialize in certain modalities or health conditions.
What is a Naturopathic Doctor?
Naturopathic Doctors have been licensed as primary care doctors in New Hampshire since 1995. They offer the widest array of complementary and alternative medical services available in healthcare today. In order to become a licensed ND, the state of New Hampshire requires that an applicant be a graduate of an accredited Naturopathic medical school and has passed all state and national required board examinations.
